Before he became king of the jungle in Tarzan (1999), Tarzan was a clumsy kid trying to be part of his adoptive mother Kala's community of apes. While trying to prove himself, an accident puts his family in harm's way, and convinced that he will never fit in, Tarzan decides that everyone would be better off without him and runs away.
