The emphasis throughout is on an integrated approach to diagnosis that highlights the role of clinical, radiologic, and pathologic correlation in reducing the possibility of diagnostic error. Appearances on the full range of imaging studies are illustrated, including conventional radiographs, bone scans, CT scan, MRI, and even PET/CT scans in malignant cases. Attention is also drawn to the role of long-term follow-up radiographs in ensuring correct diagnosis and management.
