A hack'n'slash action RPG with roguelike elements, inspired by including Diablo and Path of Exile. In God's Forsaken, we find diverse character classes with unique talent trees, but universal weapons and starting abilities. Gameplay focuses primarily on fending off waves of enemies. Action RPGs are a genre that new developers are constantly trying their hand at. Among them is the independent team at Insight Studio, the creators of the hack-and-slash game God Forsaken, which we're reviewing here. The developers cite the Diablo and Path of Exile series as their primary sources of inspiration. Gameplay God Forsaken features an isometric view of the action. Character Classes and Their Development Traveling through a grim fantasy land where light has given way to darkness and monsters prowl under the cover of night, we begin by choosing a character class. We have at our disposal, among others, a warrior, a hunter, a warlock, and a necromancer. Although each profession has unique talent trees, regardless of our choice, we can use any weapon and starting skills. Character skill development is enabled by special expansions, modeled on the skill runes from Path of Exile, allowing for considerable freedom in creating character builds. Additionally, as we progress, we collect new equipment, which is randomly generated. Enemy Encounters and the Fight Against Darkness The adventure takes us through a variety of locations, primarily ancient ruins and dungeons shrouded in darkness. Traversing these locations, we primarily focus on eliminating hordes of enemies. They typically attack in waves, reminiscent of arena survival games. Combat is dynamic, with both regular adversaries, who appear in large numbers, and more powerful opponents serving as bosses. The sheer number of enemies forces us to be constantly on the move on the battlefield, juggling attacks and combat abilities while avoiding being hit. Darkness also poses a danger to our character. It gradually degrades their sanity while simultaneously strengthening the monsters that stand in our way. The only way to escape its devastating effects is to light a torch. ..::TECH-DATA::..
