Davy x Jones is a shooter that allows players to take on the role of a unique interpretation of the titular Davy Jones – the legendary captain of the ghost ship known as the Flying Dutchman. The game was developed by the Polish studio Parasight, known for the critically acclaimed game Blacktail. Plot The main characters of Davy x Jones are the captain, split in two – his headless body (Jones) and a chatty, independent skull (Davy). The protagonists join forces to embark on a journey through pirate hell, recover stolen artifacts, and exact revenge on Blackbeard, who betrayed, robbed, and killed them. Gameplay In Davy x Jones, the action is viewed from a first-person perspective (FPP). Pirate Underworld The game offers an open world, specifically a pirate underworld known as Locker, consisting of nine islands floating among the clouds. The overarching gameplay element is dynamic battles with enemies, including souls of the damned, hellspawn, and behemoths serving as bosses, such as the mighty Kraken. Arsenal and Ship On the battlefield, we use an arsenal of firearms and a sword. Furthermore, we use the main character's skull, which additionally comments on our actions and guides us. Abby, a young behemoth at our service, also plays a crucial role here, a combination of a ship and a whale. Not only does she serve as our mobile base of operations, but she is also a valuable ally, and her combat skills, especially her cannonade, often save our skin. Risk and Reward Furthermore, as you progress, you collect Essence, which creates chests containing valuable loot. Since opening such a chest forces you to defeat the demon thus released, you must decide for yourself whether the reward is worth the risk. ..::TECH-DATA::..
