Their debut single, On The Highway, was released in May on Rebel Records. In October, they shortened their name to Carson to avoid confusion with a country band. They released their debut studio album, Blown, on EMI and Harvest Records in November 1972 (#14 on the Go-Set Top 20). A second album, On The Air (a live performance at the second Sunbury Pop Festival in late January 1973), appeared in April, but the band had already broken up. It makes sense to consider both works together, since they are essentially the same. Quite solid blues-rock with occasional forays into jazz-rock
