Edge of Sanity takes us on a journey to Cold War-era Alaska. The main character of the game is a member of the supply group that helped the workers of the field laboratory. One day, the protagonist and his entourage discovered that something bad had happened in the facility - terrifying monsters were rampant there, and there was no trace of the scientists. The supply men immediately ran away, during which the hero became separated from the rest of the group. After establishing a makeshift camp, he had no choice but to try to find other survivors and find out what was really happening in the mountain valley, what happened to the missing scientists and what the mysterious Stone of Thurul had to do with it. In Edge of Sanity we watch the action from the side. The main element of the game are expeditions, during which we mainly look for food and other supplies. The collected resources not only allow us to survive another night in the camp, but also serve us to create various items that may prove useful during subsequent expeditions. While traveling through the frosty valley, we encounter numerous cultists and dangerous monsters. We deal with opponents in various ways - each of them has weak points, the discovery of which is the key to escaping the situation. When all else fails, we can try to defend ourselves with an axe, but most often it resembles attacking the sun with a hoe. It should be remembered that each traumatic event leaves a permanent mark on the protagonist's mind, which over time may begin to have negative consequences... However, the game is worth the candle, because in addition to useful resources and valuable information, during our expeditions we find other survivors who, after reaching our camp, can be sent on search missions. However, we must take care of them, because as supplies dwindle, their morale decreases, and thus - their usefulness or loyalty to us. The graphic design of Edge of Sanity is kept in an atmospheric, cartoon style, which brings some associations with the Darkest Dungeon series. ..::TECH-DATA::..
