Readers will appreciate how they can quickly turn their imported Illustrated vector drawings or background graphics into a short animation that they can use in their next project. Here is an overview of what this book will be focusing on: Chapter 1: Review a brief history of animation and discover how to navigate the Animate Workspace. Chapters 2 and 3: Work with tools in the Tools panel for the purposes of drawing, editing, and enhancing your artwork. Chapter 4: Learn how to add your artwork, which may have originated in Photoshop or Illustrator, to the Animate Canvas or Stage. Chapter 5: Begin the process of animation using the Timeline panel, working with layers and frames. Chapters 6 and 7: Learn how to add motion to your symbols on Stage or Canvas using the Timeline panel and animation tweens within the frames. Chapter 8: Work with motion presets to edit and adjust the motion of a symbol. Then, using the Camera Tool and Layer Depth panel, you will explore various options to enhance the movement in the animation. Chapters 9 and 10: Work with advanced features and tools to add other kinds of motions such as a walk cycle with layers and rig maps or lip-syncing face reactions on a character to match audio. Chapter 11: Add background audio and sounds or voices to your animation. Chapter 12: Publish your animation in various file formats, which will depend on the final destination for your project.
