While the first book covered the first decade of the columns, the present book covers the second, and final, decade. The aim of both books was to describe recent developments in tribology in a witty and readable way, to allow those working on applications to keep abreast with the latest news and discoveries, while at the same time allowing students and more advanced practitioners to keep up with advances in tribology — or to just read for fun. As well as highlighting tribological developments at "the cutting edge" of tribology, the work includes tributes to recently departed eminent tribologists and prognoses on future directions in tribology.
